Positive Birth Workshop

Our Positive Birth Workshop has been designed by clinical midwives, to provide you with practical and realistic information, tips and tricks for your birth experience.

This one-day programme is taught by Registered Midwife Lucy, who works closely with Sydney’s leading Obstetricians and currently works on The Mater Private Hospital’s Birthing Unit.  Lucy knows from working in Sydney’s public and private maternity system how unpredictable labour and birth can be and how important it is to understand your options. She is passionate about limiting the unknowns through education, ensuring you feel confident and safe during any type of birth. Her hope is that you enter your birth experience with an open mind and are equipped with realistic expectations that allow for the ever changing nature of the birthing process.

It is recommended to take part in the Positive Birth Workshop between 28-34 weeks of pregnancy.

In the workshop, Lucy will move through the following areas:

  • Understanding what to expect in the last weeks of pregnancy
  • Recognising the signs of labour
  • Gaining & developing an understanding of the birth process
